If you travel in your 60, and you have a tailgate, you're already winning in our opinion, but once you install one of these bad boys; it is a game changer ⛳️
It means that you can store recovery, cleaning, tool, tyre changing or whatever other gear your feel necessary all in one spot.
The kit comes with close cell foam for sound and panel insulation 🤫 🔇; so nothing needs to be sitting directly on your tailgate panel (on the inside), and potentially harming the panel, like you and all us have been doing on the inside rear quarter panels 😩
The installation is super simple, requiring a grinder, sockets and a screw driver you simply mark our the template included trim out the section of tailgate and utilise the existing trimming holes to bolt the storage mod to 👩🏽🔧

"This precision laser cut steel modification plate allows you to turn your tailgate into a locked compartment within your car.
You can use the space to store recovery gear, spare parts or anything else that will fit and you want to keep secure. This is a DIY kit and requires you to trim away some of the metal in the tailgate. To assist with this, we provide step by step easy to follow instructions and a handy template to show where the cuts are required. This can be performed with tin snips, a jigsaw or an angle grinder.
By default, the kit will be painted black and ship with all mounting hardware required such as nuts and bolts for mounting, hinge and associated screws as well as the heavy duty low profile locks. Sound deadening foam to stick inside your tailgate which prevents damage to the steel and eliminates rattles is also included. Please allow up to one week handling time for your kit to be assembled, packed and picked up by our couriers."

For years we searched for an intercooler that worked with our HJ61 / 12HT; we wanted something that fit, something of high quality and finally something that was large enough to make a difference on EGT's and IAT's.
We, like you, wanted:

Then, we came across the PDI intercooler from Brian at Performance Diesel Intercoolers in W.A, Australia 🇦🇺
After speaking with Brian, understanding the size of this intercooler, and its design to enable fitment into the HJ61 Landcruiser, as well as it's specs and quality we knew we had to have it 🎁
Not only that, it looked bass ass 😎
If you've got a 12HT or a 2HT, usually you're keen for a little more power, more torque and better performance. 💪🏽
How do we achieve that with these old but brilliant motors? Simple; boost and fuel, > BUT this means higher EGT's and thus higher IAT's; which means hotter engine, rings going bad, overheating, head warping etc etc. 🔥😢
If you have gone through the trauma of any of the above on your beloved 12HT/2H motor then you're understanding how important it is to AVOID this at all costs 👎🏽
Because this means:
- Getting the engine built; but then there's the cost, what if the builder isn't good and/or make an error, what about their warranty, what if the build cost blows out 💸
- Building the engine yourself; means needing to find space (mum's garage may not fit a small truck engine), finding the time; will it be one of the 50% complete projects for 3 years? you're thinking : "I hate those, my 60 is already one of those!" ⏳
If you're wanting more power, then this is for you; it means boost, cooler EGT's and lower IAT's, it means peace of mind 😌 and motivates you to get your diesel tuned (properly on a dyno 🙄), it means better trips and it looks mean 😈
* Please note, if utilising a custom set-up piping may not fit your set-up. Please let us know your requirements the closest possible will be supplied. This kit is for a 12HT set-up only, whilst we do our best to accomodate a 2H custom set-up, the responsibility of fitment it up to the customer.

The PDI Landcruiser 60 series HJ61 HJ60 Front mount intercooler is designed to fit on both the round headlight and the twin square light model. It sits further back than all other designs we have seen as it has recessed areas in the end tanks for the condenser fittings and piping.
The core is 545 x 300 x 65mm.
Pipes are stainless steel and is supplied with a stainless flange onto the intake manifold, which does a 180deg bend under the air supply pipe.
Plus, it looks awesome!

It most likely still has dog hair in there from the previous 2x owners, Maccas chips from that late night last year along with some other 'memories embedded' in it 🍟🐶
Definitely, time to replace 🔄
Your 60 Series isn't a new car, but we know there's been a few times when you've hopped in and thought "geez I wish this interior felt cleaner, newer, fresher" 😩
*Please note that wheel arch covers are not included in the rear for this set of carpet for HJ61 and FJ62
This is the first step to a fresh interior... 👄
What problems will this solve?
- Affordable interior refreshen 🍃
- Easy enough self-install; less than half a day 🪛
- Change or refresh the faded old colour 🧼
- Choose a new loop style, or retain the original style 🤌🏽
🔧 Installation, our thoughts? 🤔
Pretty simple install, our process looked like this:
- Throw down a canvas sheet
- Remove the front seats and centre console
- Remove the rear seats
- Pull out the carpet
- Lay the old carpet down; mark out the old holes on the back of the new carpet, only slice these holes (don't fully cut them out)
- Do sound deadening removal and replace with Car Builders wagon pack (if up to it)
- Lay in your new carpet
- Begin cutting in (very carefully) your handbrake, shifter and seat holes
- Trim off the excess sides of the new carpet (overhanging doors etc.)
- Re-install seats
- Sit back and enjoy your work 👀🍺
Important details:
- 📦 This carpet is made to order; please allow 7-12 working days for your carpet to be shipped, although we aim for 3-4 working days before shipment; you accept that this will take up to 10 business days to make and send + shipping times
- 📑 Please note this carpet will suit; HJ60, HJ61, FJ60, FJ62. These really work well for HJ61s and FJ62s
- 💺 This carpet does cater to (although you will need to mark out and cut out) an under seat heater on the driver's side for HJ61's and FJ62's
- ✂️ Holes are not cut into these carpets; you will need to mark out and cut your own seat, heater, handbrake and shifter holes
- 👉🏽 Whilst these carpets are as close as can be to original; there is some age in the moulds and they may change over time, your floor pan may be slightly varied, or the carpet may take time to get to shape; please allow for this, carpets are made to order you accept all of these conditions when ordering this carpet
- Please note that wheel arch covers are NOT included with this carpet for the rear and must be ordered separately

Our Moulded Carpet Range Comes In 4 Material Types, please note the colour per Carpet Pile/Material.
Loop Pile - This carpet is constructed using top-quality spun Acrylic yarn and is tufted on a 5/32" gauge tufting machine at 600 grams per square meter.
The carpet is produced in one-meter-wide rolls which are backed with Polyethylene which enables it to be moulded to the contours of an automotive floor pan.
As its name suggests loop pile carpet is made up using many small loops of yarn and is most commonly used in vehicles from the 1960's up until the mid 1980's.
Plush Pile - Uses a similar construction process to Loop pile but with a much higher yarn density of 750 grams per square meter.
Plush pile (sometimes referred to as Cut pile) gives a more luxurious appearance and is generally used in most vehicles from the mid 1980's to the present day.
Classic Loop - Our strongest and most durable carpet material. Manufactured by us using the original 80% Rayon and 20% Nylon yarn, it is an exact reproduction of the carpet used by the car makers during 1960’s to 1970’s, including the 60 Series Landcruiser, other types that used this were HK-HG Holden, XT-XY Falcon, Valiant Charger and many other models. It is available in most original colours including black, saddle (Ford), Chev + GMH blue, VH Commodore (Brock), Burgundy along with many other colours and is suitable for all makes and models including present day vehicles.
Super Plush - Uses a similar construction process to plush pile but with a much higher yarn density of 950 grams per square meter. Super Plush pile gives of a lush and thick luxurious appearance. Originally Used in the early 70s for SLE commodores, Ford LTD and Statesmen.
